Program Manager -Institute for Human Infections - 62320

Min Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent, with 5 years of experience in program management. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Program Manager is accountable for the personnel, operational and financial management of assigned program(s) to ensure the delivery of competent, compassionate and efficient clinical care, promotion of research and clinical education.
Salary Range

From $66,240 To $105,984 Annually

Specific Job Related Duties
  • Provide leadership for planning, implementing activities and writing progress reports.  Develops needs assessment surveys and administers them to public health practitioners.
  • Plan and implement educational programs including curricula, short courses and seminars utilizing a variety of methods including direct teaching through group experiences, mass media, newletters, electronic technology and distance learning.
  • Supervises undergraduate interns (as applicable)
  • Prepares quarterly reports and yearly impact statements on program progress and accomplishments.
  • Supports the efforts of Center director and co-Investigators.
  • Individually and collaboratively explore and pursue new and additional funding sources to enhance and extend program opportunities.
  • Oversees and supervises all business and administrative activities relating to program operations and budget.
  • Provides leadership for the program and promotes teamwork.
  • Serves as a liaison between institutional departments and local area groups to assess need and develop project plans and budgets.
  • Leads/participates in collaborative interdepartmental approaches to develop and enhance an integrated system of care, as appropriate.
  • Coordinates all joint operations for the program with both internal and external sources. Works with other campus departments to establish collaborative programs.
  • Assists in identifying potential funding sources for the program, and prepares/monitors budgets to ensure services are provided in a cost-effective manner.
  • Reviews existing contracts for renewal.
  • Facilitates development of goals, performance standards, and objectives of the program.
  • Works with other campus departments to establish collaborative programs.
  • Responsible for identifying and evaluating the need for new equipment, supplies, communication services, and information services for all areas of the program.
  • Initiates implementation plans for new projects and services within the program
  • Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Assists in grant writing.
  • Performs related duties as required.
