Min Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent in related field and 6 years related experience.

Specific Job Related Duties

Prepare weekly and monthly financial status report and provide to management. Prepare the monthly accounts receivable aging report and distribute to management for follow up on outstanding invoices. Prepare and analyze the monthly revenue report using Hyperion. Prepare and post month end adjustment if necessary. Prepare and post month end entries. Perform monthly quality assurance of all elements/attributes related to institutional reporting. Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report and related schedules and notes. Prepare and submit all institutional grant related reports, including but not limited to FFATA. Create and maintain an institutional grant database. Utilize written and verbal communication skills to provide quality customer service to multiple clients concurrently. Utilize technical and analytical skills to support Grants and Contracts Accounting and Institutional objectives and projects. Proactively seek efficiencies in all areas of job responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skill/Competency

Preferred Skill/Competency

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience with all modules within the PeopleSoft Financials, proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and the SMART VIEW add on, experience with Hyperion, experience in Research Administration, Higher Education, Academic Medical Centers and/or Public Service industries. Working knowledge of one or more of the following areas: cost reimbursement, accounts receivable, revenue cycle, regulatory compliance and accounting operations.

Preferred Work Experience

Fund accounting experience and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
