Min Qualifications Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience. Job Description: The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position. Salary Range

Starting salary- $47,484

Specific Job Related Duties

The job requires interest in hypothesis-driven research in the field of molecular virology and host-virus interaction for hemorrhagic arenaviruses.

Work independently and prior experience in the BSL3/4 laboratory would be a plus.

Capable of developing new ideas for the research in the laboratory as well as working productively in a team of different scientists.

Expected that the candidate would be willing and able to assist graduate students in the group.

Preferred Skill/Competency

The candidate would continuously apply for fellowships, within and outside UTMB, and assist the PI in grant submissions, report writing, paper preparations and presentations
