REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical or biological sciences or equivalent years in experience.
  • Certification in EpicCare EMR Inpatient Procedure Orders

JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Applications System Analyst works for Hospital Administration and reports to the Chief Medical Information Officer. The Clinical Applications System Analyst participates in the analysis, development and maintenance of evidenced based clinical order sets to maximize productivity and control cost. In addition, assist with roll-outs, upgrades, and run utilization reports and provides education to clinical staff.

NOTE: The PeopleSoft title for this position is Clinical Application Sys Analyst or Sr. Clinical Application Sys Analyst, depending on qualifications. Epic Inpatient Orders Analyst/ is a working title only.

Salary Range

Commensurate with experience.

The pay band for this position is CS22/CS23 depending on qualifications.

Preferred Education

Clinical backgroundin nursing or related field and academic health center experience.

Preferred License/Certificate

  • Certification in EpicCare EMR Inpatient Procedure Orders
  • Additional EpicCare certifications

Preferred Work Experience

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • 3+ years Orders build, optimization, and support experience
  • Competence in biomedical literature evaluation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and evaluation skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to function in complex and ambiguous situations
  • Ability to lead and facilitate interdisciplinary groups toward consensus through the use of negotiation and conflict resolution techniques
  • Ability to develop teams and work effectively with groups. Knowledge of health care workflow
  • Knowledge of electronic health records
