Police Department Mission:
The University of Texas Medical Branch Police Department strives to provide protection and service in a courteous manner to the faculty, staff, students, patients, and visitors of UTMB in conformance with the Regents rules and Regulations, UTMB policies, or federal, state, or local laws and ordinances. The Department also implements programs that are aimed at preserving the assets of UTMB.
From $33,440.00 To $40,000.00 Annually
Specific Job Related Duties
Badge Office - The UTMB Badge Office is part of the UTMB Police Department.
Create UTMB ID Badges and apply appropriate access to badges.
Review and process badge work order requests and security clearances.
Provide excellent customer service and establish strong working relationships.
Strong data entry and problem solving skills
Import data from security database to Excel reports
Troubleshoot issues in database
Knowledge of Excel and Access
Prepare Excel spreadsheets
Ability to work well under pressure
Work independently and with little supervision
Assist with daily office support tasks and other projects as assigned by supervisor.
Preferred Work Experience:
This position requires clearance to work in a security sensitive environment within the UTMB Police Department. Successfully pass polygraph, background checks, and drug test. Type accurately at 40 words per minute.
This position requires a typing and spelling test. You must complete this testing at the approved location prior to being considered for this position.
If you are a current UTMB employee, you may still need to test if it has been longer than a year, or if your current position did not require scores of 40 wpm or better.
