Min Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field 3 years related experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide intermediate analysis and documentation of existing hospital and administrative procedures and recommend alternative procedures for improvement of workflow, either manual or automated, maximizing productivity and controlling costs.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is from $59,200 to $88,800 annually, commensurate with experience.

This position is a Band Code CS22.

Specific Job Related Duties

LIS Systems Analyst will have sufficient knowledge of existing computer systems to effectively troubleshoot system problems and.r develop high level LIS computer systems.

The job requires significant self- motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to effectively work as part of a highly functioning team. The LIS Systems Analyst will report directly to the LIS Manager.

  • Plans the study of current departmental systems.

  • Gathers and organizes information on system including present operating procedures.

  • Analyzes data and considers all available solutions, either manual or automated.

  • Organizes and documents study and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems.

  • Conducts operational effectiveness reviews.

  • Conducts preliminary survey of vendor solutions.

  • Adheres to internal controls established for department.

  • Performs related duties as required.

Preferred Skill/Competency

Customer service, interpersonal and communication skills are expected. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is required.

Preferred Work Experience

3 years Clinical Core Lab experience preferred.

We are looking for a solid technical problem solver to fill this position. An affinity for interfacing instruments to an LIS system is a strong plus.

Experience in building and maintaining the Instrument Manager application would be very helpful in this role
