Min Qualifications

High school or equivalent and one year related experience. Requires working knowledge of library operations and personal computer systems, including Microsoft Office products. Strong communication skills, including grammar, spelling and punctuation

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide specialized library support toward the fulfillment of the library’s mission within a particular unit of the library. Requires operational skills and detailed knowledge of the library, online testing and computer skills.

Salary Range

$26,960.00 to $33,700.00 annually, commensurate with experience.

This position is in the pay band code: CS12.

Specific Job Related Duties

  • Performs online bibliographic searching and maintains resources for acquisitions, cataloging, and interlibrary loan using the integrated library system (ILS), electronic resources management (ERM) tool, and interlibrary loan management software

  • Compiles statistical data on printer usage; testing center usage special collections; library materials purchased and cataloged; and loaned/borrowed items

  • Staffs the information desk to provide assistance to patrons in person, over the telephone, or on-line, in finding materials or answering questions by using library tools and databases

  • Assists and instructs library clients in the use of computers, photocopiers, printers, scanners and testing software

  • Troubleshoots and assists library clients with online testing and installs educational software

  • Creates and updates patron record; receives and processes library materials

  • Handles cash, checks or credit card payments

  • Assists with the opening and closing procedures of library facilities

  • Photocopies and scans articles or book chapters, and assists with other services as needed

  • Participates in special library projects

  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Monday – Thursdays: 3:15 PM to 12:15 AM

Friday Noon to 9 PM
