The University of Texas Medical Branch Audiology Resident - Speech & Audiology - OTO in Galveston, Texas
Bachelor's degree in related field, current enrollment in Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program, and eligible for Au.D. externship. Eligible for Intern license from the Texas State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
To provide comprehensive audiological assessment and diagnosis, and to initiate and provide (re)habilitative treatment services under the supervision of a licensed and certified Audiologist.

Specific Job Related Duties
Exciting opportunity for a one-year residency position in Audiology at a leading academic health sciences center. Our residencies begin in early June to late July of each year and provide well-rounded exposure to a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for patients of all ages (approximately 55% adult and 45% pediatrics).
1) Gain confidence and independent clinical skills with a broad-based patient population
2) Refine skills in pediatric and adult behavioral audiological services, electrophysiological testing (ECoG, ABR, MLR, LVR, P300, VEMP) amplification, central auditory assessment and balance testing.
3) Participate in clinical research project
Preferred Work Experience
Successful candidates should have diverse practicum experience, demonstrate initiative, good communication skills (written and verbal), desire to learn, and good teamwork skills.
