Min Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of nursing. Must possess and maintain a valid, current license approved by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Master's degree in nursing or related field with 3 years of experience managing multiple nursing facilities/units within a nursing department. Bachelor's degree in nursing with 5 years of experience managing multiple nursing facilities/units within a nursing department. Associate's degree in nursing with 7 years of experience managing multiple nursing facilities/units within a nursing department.

Job Description:

The Regional Nurse Manager is responsible for directing and evaluating the provision of patient care/services throughout all facilities within a defined geographical area that consists of multiple facilities. This position is responsible for assisting in establishing standards of nursing practice/care for the facilities system-wide and for establishing mechanisms to ensure that nursing care is provided in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act (NPA), Professional Organizations (ANA), licensing and accrediting agency (ACA) standards. Key functions of the position include planning, leading, organizing, directing and evaluating. Monitoring of quality and budget standards and managing to achieve organizational/departmental goals are essential aspects of the job. The Regional Nurse Manager is a member of the Department of Nursing and the Regional Leadership Teams and contributes to the success of UTMB CMC operations and promotes quality standards within the correctional health care environment. Serves as the direct supervisor for facility Nurse Managers and Cluster Nurse Managers.

Salary Range

From $105,060 to $168,096 annually. Salary is commensurate with years of related work experience.

Closing Statement

Work environment is located within the confines of a prison, jail or juvenile detention center. Security clearance is required; pre-employment drug screening is also required.
